Author Guidelines

  1. The article is the author original work of (not violate plagiarism) and was never publicized in other media. Article’s theme should be related to Information and Library Science.
  2. The article from the research should be written in Indonesian consist of 11-13 pages.
  3. The title of the article written in the Indonesian, capital letters, contain a maximum of 12 words, Times New Roman font, size 14 and bold. If use subhead, subhead is written with font size 12, normal font.
  4. The authors in the article are arranged according to the agreement of the authors. The author listed a maximum of 4 persons. Names are written without academic title, position or rank as the owner of the rights of authorship.
  5. The name (s) written are followed by writing the name of the writers institution. Institutional identity is composed of work unit and subunits name, such as, department and university’s name (not to be shortened). The institution name is followed by e-mail address of each writer.
  6. Abstract is written in Indonesian and English, 1 (one) paragraph/ each. Abstract is written using Times New Roman, size 10, spacing 1. The length of the text is between 200-300 words. Abstract in Indonesian is written using the latest standard spelling. Writing abbreviations and numbers (formula) should be avoided in the abstract. Abstract states brief overview of the issues, goals, methods, results and conclusions. Keywords contain between 3-5 words.
  7. Heading of the article written without using chapters numbering (or bulleted list), like the thesis and other research report. The article contains INTRODUCTION, LITERATURE, RESEARCH METHOD(S), RESULTS AND DISCUSSION, and CONCLUSIONS. Article headings are written in Times New Roman size 12 bold capital letters. The heading is written using the left align.
  8. Introduction of the article contain research problem background; problem formulation; hypothesis (if any); research objectives. Literature review contains theory used in analyzing the problem. Research Methods contain methods, population and sample; if any, data collection techniques, data analysis techniques. Results and Discussion states data/ information as the answer to research objectives; supporting instruments in the form of tables and figures. Conclusion(s) is written in paragraph without numbering.
  9. Tables, graphs and pictures (charts) given numbering, title, and source. Tables are written with a 1 point wide line, and tables caption is placed above the table. Table description table consisting of more than one line is written using single spacing.

  12. Image / graphics inserted in the text box and figures caption (caption) is placed below the image. Captions are numbered and the image must be referenced in the text. Caption is begun with a capital letter. Caption that more than one line is written using single spacing.

  14. If the contents of the article are in details, alphabet or numbering, can be written as follows:Article is typed on A4 paper with 4 cm top and left margin, 3 cm bottom margin and right margin, Times New Roman, size 12 and 1.5 spacing (before = 0 pt and after = 0 pt).
  15. In quoting, do not use footnotes, use running note based on APA citation system, for example: Buckland (2014, pp.54) states that the library service is divided into several types.  .... "Documentation is an activity creating, collecting, processing, distribution on the user" (Basuki 2007 pp.67)
  16. Citations and bibliography format of Information and Library Studies Journal use APA writing style, which is (a) bibliography is written using single spacing, ordered alphabetically without number; (b) if the reference is written by 1 (one) person, the author's name is written in the form of: the author's last name, followed by the first name and middle name, and followed by year of publication, article title, place of issue, and publisher name; (c) if the authors are more than three persons, then only the first author's name is written, and the other writers are written as et al.

THE ONLINE SUBMISSION MANUSCRIPT GUIDELINES

The manuscript text must be submitted by one of two systems ( the submitted second procedure is more preferable):

  1. The document submit by Online Submission System in the Jurnal Kajian Informasi & Perpustakaan E-journal portal HERE.
  2. Firstly, the author should register as either an author or reviewer (checking role as author or reviewer) in the “Register” or HERE.
  3. After the registration step is completed, log in as an author, click in “New Submission”. The article submission stage consists of five stages, such as:  (1). Start, (2). Upload Submission, (3). Enter Metadata, (4). Upload Supplementary Files, (5). Confirmation.
  4. In the “Start” column, chose Journal Section (Full Article), check all the checklists.
  5. In the “Upload Submission” Columns, upload the manuscript files in MSWord format in this column.
  6. In the “Enter Metadata” columns, fill in with all the author data and affiliation. Including the Journal Title, Abstract and Indexing Keywords.
  7. In the “Upload Supplementary Files” columns, the author is allowed to upload supplementary files, the statement letter, or any other else.
  8. In the “Confirmation” columns, if the data you entered are all correct already, then click “Finish Submission”.
  9. If the author has difficulties in the submission process through the online system, please contact Jurnal Kajian Informasi & Perpustakaan editorial team at jkip.fikom@unpad.ac.id.
