Author Guidelines

1) The manuscript submitted by the author is original, own work, novel and has never been published and is not being submitted for publication in other media/journals.

2) Articles can be results of research, working paper), theoretical/conceptual/methodological studies, and book reviews.

3) The manuscript can be written in Indonesian or English.

4) The number of words in the article between 5.000-8,000 words, while for book reviews ranges from 1500-2500 words. Book review must be following order: book identity, author biography, introduction, discussion and closing statement. This amount does not include bibliography and footnotes.

5) The type of font is Garamond, 12 point font size and 1.5 space.

6) Articles should be accompanied by abstracts in English and Bahasa Indonesia. Abstracts range from 150-200 words and consist of only one paragraph describing the essence of the entire article content (background, purpose, theory, method, findings and main conclusions). 10 point font size, Garamond type and spaces 1. Include also 3-5 keywords.

7) The author's name is written without an academic degree. If the manuscript is written by a team or more than one person, the editorial only relates to the primary author or author whose name is listed in the first place.

8) Referral writing, quotations in text, footnotes, references/bibliography using the ASA (American Sociological Associations) style.

9) At the end of the text, all references in the text shall be listed and written in alphabetical order from the last author's primary name.

10) The author should pay attention to the various points listed in the Publication Ethics of the article to be sent.

11) With the publication through this journal, the authors give the right to copy (full article) (abstract, table, picture, illustration) to the publisher in this case the Department of Sociology, FISIP Unpad, including the right to republish in various forms of media.

Articles sent to the Sosioglobal Journal must follow the systematics as follows:

1. ARTICLE TITLE

Topics are sought to attract the interest of readers and reflect the contents of the writing. The maximum number of words is ten phrases. Under the heading include the names of the first, second, third authors, etc. Note, only the identity of the first author listed in this section will then correspond with the editor. As for the second, third, etc., the author's identity written at the bottom left of the page. Inclusion of the identity of the author's institution, namely: the name of the Study Program/Department / Department / Study Center / Study Center, Faculty, University.

2. ABSTRACT

Consists of abstracts of Indonesian and English provided that:

a)    Abstract length of 150-200 words.

b)   The main idea of writing contains novelty.

c)    Differences in the main ideas of writing with previous ideas related to more or less the same symptoms.

d)   Research methods.

e)    Keywords in English.

3. INTRODUCTION

a)      Description of symptoms that are the focus of the study (1 paragraph).

b)      Questions related to the symptoms observed.

c)      Literature review

-  Describe the main ideas from previous research that are relevant to the research questions submitted (1-2 paragraphs).

-  Determine the position of the author based on the description of prior research, whether agreeing, disagreeing, or some aspects are lacking and will be completed (1-2 paragraphs).

d)      Thesis statement (1 paragraph)

Formulate thesis questions as temporary answers to the questions asked and based on the results of a review of previous research. This section is very important because it is the foundation and focus of writing.

4. RESEARCH METHODS

Describe the research methods used, data collection techniques, resource categories and data validation.

5. THEORY/CONCEPT FRAMEWORK

Formulate relevant theory/concept elements or can help explain the symptoms to be discussed. 

6. DISCUSSION

Systematics discussion consists of a description of findings, analysis of findings with the help of theoretical/conceptual frameworks as analysis blades and conclusions (theories/concepts can/cannot/cannot explain findings). The summary of findings and analysis made thematically).

7. CONCLUSION

This section is not a summary or summary of writing, but the theoretical significance/synthesis of writing/theoretical construction/concepts based on field data.

8. REFERENCES

Writing bibliography and quotes refer to ASA style of citation standards. The ASA style also applies to the preparation of body notes, footnotes, etc.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  2. The submission file is in Microsoft Word, Open Office or Word Perfect Document.
  3. Where appropriate, URLs for the references are provided.
  4. The text is one and half spaced (1,5); uses a 12-point font type of font garamond; employs italics rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines. It is of particular importance that references are formatted as endnotes/mendeley that follow ASA style.
  6. The submission includes author name(s), affiliations, and contact information.
