PEMBUATAN PAKAN IKAN MANDIRI BERBASIS BAHAN BAKU LOKAL DI DESA BABATAN KECAMATAN KATIBUNG LAMPUNG SELATAN

Abstract


The Akbar Sejahtera Fish Farming Group (Pokdakan), located in Babatan Village, Katibung District, South Lampung Regency, is engaged in raising catfish using independent feed. Based on a situational analysis, the problem faced is that the feed quality does not meet SNI standards, characterized by easily disintegrated feed, high crude fiber content (>15%), and low protein content (<25%). Efforts to improve the quality of independent feed are carried out through dissemination of feed production using local raw materials such as trash fish, bran, and corn. This activity aims to improve the knowledge and skills of farmers in producing quality feed that meets SNI standards. Methods used include lectures, discussions, and demonstrations. The results of the activity showed an increase in the knowledge and skills of partners, resulting in the ability to produce higher-quality feed. The feed protein content increased to 30%, crude fiber to 8%, the feed texture was improved (not easily disintegrated), and the Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR) improved from 1.6 to 1.1, thereby increasing feed efficiency and catfish production.
