Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.

 

Author Guidelines

  1. The article is an original work of the author and the team based on real research results have not and will not be published in any media.
  2. The article, free from plagiarism including self-plagiarism (Article was reviewed independently by the application of anti-plagiarism)
  3. The article contains research related to library and information science (see focus and scope).
  4. The article uses English, consisting of 5.000-7.000 words, Book Antiqua 11,5pt., spacing 1.15, A4 paper (21cm x 29.7cm) using 2.5 cm for inside margin and 2 cm for top, bottom, and outside margin.
  5. The title contains maximum 12 words, without abbreviations, 14pt. Book Antiqua, Sentence case, Bold, center, space 1, without subtitles and punctuation.
  6. The names of all authors are written in complete without abbreviation, without a title, 12pt. Book Antiqua, Capital Each Word, Bold, center, space 1
  7. The name of the institution of each author listed only the names of colleges or corporate institutions. Example: Prodi Ilmu Perpustakaan dan Informasi, Universitas Padjadjaran or PT. Telkom Indonesia.
  8. The affiliation address of all authors consisting of: Faculties/divisions/departments etc., address, city, postal code, country and email of each author 10pt. Book Antiqua, Capital Each Word, center, space 1
  9. Abstract, made in essay form consists of introduction, purpose, method, conclusion, written in 1 (one) paragraph, 10pt Book Antiqua, space 1, paragraph justify, 200-250 words, no numbering, created in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
  10. Keywords consist of three to five relevant words/phrases seperated with semicolon.
  11. The manuscript consists of 5.000-7.000 words.
  12. Footnote usage is not allowed, authors should write it in body notes.
  13. Quotation of more than 3 lines should write in direct quotation style (1 spacing with margin indented).
  14. Every paragraph should use a tab / 7 beats, space 1.15, justify, 11,5pt Book Antiqua.
  15. The manuscripts only consist of INTRODUCTION, METHODS, RESULTS AND DISCUSSION, CONCLUSIONS, REFERENCE.
  16. INTRODUCTION should consist of:
    1. The introduction must contain (sortly and consecutively) a general background and a literature review (state of the art) as the basic of the brand new research question, statements of the brand new scientific article, main research problems, and the hypothesis,
    2. Background problem with supporting data must be attached, 
    3. The relevant theoretical foundation/concept.
  17. METHODS should consist of:
    1. The type of research, (each citation must be attached),
    2. Subject and object,
    3. Data collection techniques,
    4. Data analysis techniques,
    5. The location and time of the research.
  18. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION should contain:
    1. The results obtained from the research have to be supported by sufficient data,
    2. Results should contain at least one table or one picture and maximum 6,
    3. The sources should write on the left bottom of the table,
    4. The title of the table placed above the table, sentence case, left margin, 10pt. and space 1,
    5. Tables created without a vertical line,
    6. Pictures could be graphics, diagrams, schematics, photos. The title, source, and picture should be grouping, so it will not rupture when the layout create,
    7. The title of the image should be placed below the image, sentence case, center margin, 10pt., space 1, and the source listed in the bottom of the image.
  19. CONCLUSION contains research findings. It should answer research goals and give applicative recommendations. Moreover, it must be written in a paragraph without numbering.
  20. REFERENCES should contain:
    1. Follows the American Psychological Association (APA) 7th Edition http://www.apastyle.org
    2. References consist of at least 25 sources with a minimum 80% journal, and 15 sources from international journals that published in the last ten years.
     

The Online Submission Manuscript Guidelines

The manuscript text must be submitted by one of two systems ( the submitted second procedure is more preferable):

  1. The document submit by Online Submission System in the Jurnal Kajian Informasi & Perpustakaan E-journal portal HERE.
  2. Firstly, the author should register as either an author or reviewer (checking role as author or reviewer) in the “Register” or HERE.
  3. After the registration step is completed, log in as an author, click in “New Submission”. The article submission stage consists of five stages, such as:  (1). Start, (2). Upload Submission, (3). Enter Metadata, (4). Upload Supplementary Files, (5). Confirmation.
  4. In the “Start” column, chose Journal Section (Full Article), check all the checklists.
  5. In the “Upload Submission” Columns, upload the manuscript files in MSWord format in this column.
  6. In the “Enter Metadata” columns, fill in with all the author data and affiliation. Including the Journal Title, Abstract and Indexing Keywords.
  7. In the “Upload Supplementary Files” columns, the author is allowed to upload supplementary files, the statement letter, or any other else.
  8. In the “Confirmation” columns, if the data you entered are all correct already, then click “Finish Submission”.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The article has not been published or is not in a process of submitting to other media and does not contain plagiarism component by attaching a written declaration from the author. Please see Author Guidelines for more details.
  2. The article is written English, Book Antiqua 11,5pt., spacing 1.15, A4 paper (21cm x 29.7cm) using 2.5 cm for inside margin and 2 cm for the top, bottom, and outside margin. Please see Author Guidelines for more details.
  3. The length of the article is minimum 5000 words and maximum 7000 words (about 13 pages) including pictures, graphic/ table (if any) and references. Please see Author Guidelines for more details.
  4. The article should be accompanied by abstract written in English. Please see Author Guidelines for more details.
  5. The author is willing to pay the cost of publishing the article in Jurnal Kajian Informasi & Perpustakaan after the article has finished the process (Rp1.500.000,00.).
  6. The author is willing to proofread the article by a professional proofreader recommended by Jurnal Kajian Informasi & Perpustakaan after the article is accepted (The cost is Rp500.000,00.).

4. Authors' Rights for Reuse of Their Own Work

As copyright holders, authors have extensive rights to reuse their own work published in JKIP, subject to proper acknowledgment of the original publication in JKIP (including a full citation and DOI link) and the terms of the CC BY-SA 4.0 license. These rights include, but are not limited to:

  • Reproducing their article, in whole or in part, in other works created by them (e.g., in a book chapter or a review article), with proper citation to the JKIP publication.
  • Using their article for teaching purposes or for internal institutional use.
  • Presenting their article at meetings or conferences and distributing copies.

5. Copyright of Peer Review Reports

  • Peer reviewers who provide reports for manuscripts submitted to JKIP retain copyright of their review reports.
  • JKIP maintains the confidentiality of the peer review process. Review reports are shared with authors in an anonymized format (under our double-blind peer review system) to aid in manuscript improvement. JKIP will not publish or otherwise share reviewer reports without the explicit permission of the respective reviewers.
