Evaluasi Psikometri Instrumen The TikTok Addiction Scale Bahasa Indonesia Berbasis Confirmatory Factor Analysis pada Populasi Dewasa Muda

Abstrak


Fenomena adiksi TikTok makin meningkat seiring tingginya penggunaan TikTok di kalangan dewasa muda. The TikTok Addiction Scale (TTAS) dikembangkan untuk mengukur adiksi TikTok dan telah diadaptasi ke dalam bahasa Indonesia, tetapi bukti psikometrinya pada kelompok dewasa muda masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi properti psikometri TTAS versi bahasa Indonesia pada kelompok dewasa muda berusia 18–25 tahun. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Partisipan dipilih menggunakan teknik convenience sampling dengan total 217 orang pengguna TikTok berusia 18–25 tahun yang berdomisili di Kota Bandung. Uji confirmatory factor analysis dilakukan menggunakan software SmartPLS versi 4. Model enam faktor TTAS memiliki kecocokan model yang baik, dengan χ²/df = 2.180, RMSEA = .074, SRMR = .045, CFI = .957, dan TLI = .939. Seluruh item memiliki standardized factor loading yang memadai, yaitu berkisar antara .658–.934. Reliabilitas internal instrumen secara keseluruhan tergolong sangat baik, dengan nilai Cronbach’s alpha .928 dan composite reliability .967. Validitas konvergen termasuk memadai dengan average variance extracted (AVE) sebesar .654, sedangkan validitas diskriminan berdasarkan kriteria heterotrait-monotrait ratio (HTMT) dapat diterima. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa TTAS versi bahasa Indonesia memiliki properti psikometri yang memadai untuk mengukur adiksi TikTok pada populasi dewasa muda. Hasil penelitian ini memperkuat dasar pengukuran adiksi TikTok dalam konteks populasi Indonesia dan mendukung penggunaan TTAS sebagai instrumen yang valid dan reliabel.

 

Psychometric Evaluation of the Indonesian Version of the TikTok Addiction Scale: A Confirmatory Factor Analysis

 

Abstract

The phenomenon of TikTok addiction has become increasingly relevant alongside the high level of TikTok social media use among young adults. The TikTok Addiction Scale (TTAS) was developed to measure TikTok addiction and has been adapted into Indonesian; however, evidence regarding its psychometric properties among young adults remains limited. This study aimed to evaluate the psychometric properties of the Indonesian version of the TTAS among young adults aged 18–25 years. This study employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. A total of 217 TikTok users aged between 18 and 25 years who reside in Bandung City, Indonesia, were recruited through a convenience sampling technique. Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was performed using SmartPLS version 4 to assess the construct validity of the measurement model. The results showed that the six-factor model of the TTAS demonstrated good model fit, with χ²/df = 2.180, RMSEA = .074, SRMR = .045, CFI = .957, and TLI = .939. All items showed adequate standardized factor loadings, ranging from .658 to .934. The overall internal reliability of the instrument was excellent, with Cronbach’s alpha = .928 and composite reliability = .967. Convergent validity was also adequate, with an overall average variance extracted of .654, with acceptable discriminant validity based on the heterotrait-monotrait ratio (HTMT) criterion. These findings indicate that the Indonesian version of the TTAS has adequate psychometric properties for measuring TikTok addiction among young adults. The results strengthen the empirical basis for measuring TikTok addiction in the Indonesian context and support the use of the TTAS as a valid and reliable instrument.
