Padjadjaran Journal of Dentistry

The Padjadjaran Journal of Dentistry is designated as information media and a source of scientific knowledge. We are only publishing research manuscripts from all dentistry research specialization, including oral biology, dental material science and technology, oral and maxillofacial surgery, paediatric dentistry, dental public health, epidemiology, preventive and community dentistry, conservative dentistry, periodontics, prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral medicine, dentomaxillofacial radiology and forensic odontology. Articles of indigenous health research and the use of natural resources in dentistry will have a better opportunity of being published in the Padjadjaran Journal of Dentistry.

All articles are published in English. Padjadjaran Journal of Dentistry is published and fully supported by the Faculty of Dentistry at Universitas Padjadjaran and published thrice annually, every March, July, and November, with p-ISSN 1979-0201 and e-ISSN 2549-6212. The submission process opens throughout the year via our online system. The journal management system allows the progress of every article to be tracked by logging in to the journal website using the username and password registered before.

Prior to the submission, all authors should follow the journal template and complete the article and author metadata required in the article submission in a complete and valid manner; otherwise, the article would not be considered for further processing. All submitted manuscripts will be analyzed by Turnitin to avoid any intolerable possibility of plagiarism. References management is preferably conducted using Mendeley, following the Vancouver superscript writing guideline. All keywords are selected based on the terms included in MeSH.

A Submission Acknowledgement will be given for every submitted article, containing Cover Letters of required data and statement completion and Payment Ability Statement. A Journal Publishing Agreement (which contained the Authorship Statement, Copyright Transfer Agreement, Conflict of Interest Disclosure), along with a Fee Form of Article Publication Charges and a Letter of Acceptance, can only be given after an article is accepted for publication.

All submitted manuscripts will be screened with an initial editorial assessment, double-blind peer review, and editorial reviews. All editorial practice of Padjadjaran Journal Dentistry follows the ICMJE's Recommendations for the Conduct, Reporting, Editing and Publication of Scholarly Work in Medical Journals. The double-blind peer-review process is conducted with the principles of RDDA (Related Discipline Different Affiliation), under the Reviewer Guidelines of Padjadjaran Journal of Dentistry. Our policies and publication practices are aimed at and strictly follow the publication ethics standard of COPE.

Affiliated with the Indonesian Dental Association (PDGI), Padjadjaran Journal of Dentistry has been included in many reputable abstracting and indexing databases including DOAJ, Crossref, Google Scholar, SINTA, and Garuda. Padjadjaran Journal of Dentistry has been accredited by the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia (SK No. 51/E/KPT/2017) and recognized as an international journal (Juknis Permeristekdikti No. 20/2017).
