Guidelines for Authors

AUTHOR GUIDELINES

Journal of Nursing Care (JNC) is a journal of scientific publications published every four months (quarterly) using a peer review system for article selection. JNC is intended for practitioners, academics, professionals, students or among the general public who are involved and interested in the development of Health and Nursing Science. It can receive relevant articles in the field of health and nursing, which includes research articles.

Structure Writing

The structure of writing in JNC is as follows: Page Title, Abstract, Introduction, Research Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusions, and References. The following describes the guidelines for each writing structure:

Scopes

Journal of Nursing Care covers research and development in the field of nursing, including medical surgical nursing, emergency and critical nursing, psychiatric nursing, pediatric nursing, maternity nursing, community nursing, gerontology nursing, management in nursing, nursing education, technology and innovation in the area of nursing, methodology research, and other related fields.

Article type

The Journal of Nursing Care accepts original research articles, reviews and systematic reviews, case studies, editorials, letters to the editor, and perspectives. The number of pages is at most 12 (3500-5000 words). Articles must be written in English.

Journal Publishing Fees

Authors whose articles are approved for publication will be charged IDR. 450.000,00.

Author Statement

Before the article is published, we will provide an author's statement form that includes originality, is not in progress or published elsewhere, has never been published, and has no conflict of interest.

Manuscript Preparation

Manuscripts are written using word format (e.g. Microsoft-Word®) to improve the quality of the journal, articles preferably in English, typed in Times New Roman font size 12, 1 column, spacing density 1.5, on A4 size paper, with left, top, right, and bottom limits 2.54 cm.

Title

The title section consists of the following:

1. Article title (no more than 20 words), capital each word, bold, 12 font size

2. Name of author and affiliation (institution).

3. Correspondence authors, marked with an "*" sign, then write the email address after the names of the authors

Abstract

Abstract written in English, maximum 250 words. An abstract is written concisely, includes essential components, and has no abbreviations. They are written in one paragraph using headings including background, purposive, research methodology, results, and conclusion.

Keywords

Keywords are written after the Abstract, containing 3-5 keywords. Keywords do not use abbreviations—keyword using https://meshb.nlm.nih.gov/search.

Introduction

The background contains the research's reasons, gaps, novelty, and objectives.

Research methods

Completeness of writing in this section includes research design, samples and settings, variables, instruments, interventions (for experimental research), data collection, data analysis, and ethical approval.

Results

This section describes in full and in detail the results of the study. It can be in the form of pictures or tables equipped with descriptions. The results of qualitative research can be written in narrative form accompanied by quotes from participants.

Discussion

Research results are discussed by including subheadings for each main topic discussed. Minimizing the repetition of numbers from the results and closing by discussing the study's limitations.

Conclusion

The conclusion contains the main results of the research and recommendations for further study.

Table

The tables are arranged in a row, and each table should be briefly titled and placed on top of the table. The table's title is written in capital letters at the beginning of the word, except for the foreground. The maximum number of tables in each article is six tables.

Photos / Pictures / Diagrams

Photos, pictures, and diagrams are arranged in sequence, given a short title and placed on the photo/drawing/diagram with a maximum of 3 pieces.

References

The bibliography is written following APA rules, and references are written in alphabetical order. Minimum referral number 50% taken from the journal. Year published 80% reference minimal from last ten years. Avoid referral in the form of personal communication (personal communication). Here's an example of writing a reference:
