Thank you for your interest in the Padjadjaran Journal of Dentistry. Note that submission implies that the content has not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere except as a brief abstract in the proceedings of a scientific meeting or symposium.Before you submit your article please check your similarity using Turnitin application https://www.turnitin.com/ results of your Turnitin check must be under 20% and must provide when submission.  2.Aims and scope

The Padjadjan Journal of Dentistry is one of officials journal of Faculty Dentistry Universitas Padjadjaran. The role of the Journal is to keep its readers informed of research developments and other key issues of relevance to dentistry in Indonesian . The objective of the Journal is to stimulate interest, discussion and interaction among dentists and specialists of all disciplines within the field of dentistry. Padjadjaran Journal of Dentistry designated too as information media and scientific knowledge. We are only publishing research manuscripts from all dentistry research specialisation, including oral biology; dental material science and technology; oral and maxillofacial surgery; paediatric dentistry; dental public health, epidemiology, preventive and community dentistry; conservative dentistry; periodontics; prosthodontics; orthodontics; oral medicine; dentomaxillofacial radiology and forensic odontology. Articles of indigenous health research and the use of natural resources in dentistry will gain more chance to be published in Padjadjaran Journal of Dentistry

3. Manuscript categories and requirements

Submissions to the journal should be limited to original article categories and specific information regarding length and format is provided below. Original articles are papers that report significant clinical or basic research in dentistry. Word limit are not limited words maximum including references, tables and figures

Title (Tahoma 14, Bold)

English titles must not be more than 22 words, straightforward, informative, and describe the entire contents of the writing (Center, Bold Italic, Tahoma 14, not using words such as:“Evaluation”, “Description”, or “Overview”, with first letter of the first title word capitalized (Sentence case): Article type

Abstracts written in English must describe the entire contents of the article, Tahoma, font 7, Italic, with maximum 300 words written in 1 continuous paragraph consisting of introductions (with research aim at the end of it), methods, results, and conclusion, written in the structure as follows: Introduction:… Methods:… Results:… Conclusion:…

INTRODUCTION (Tahoma 8, Bold)

The introduction emphasizes the urgency of the problem to be solved, explains the problem in general and explains why it is very important to solve the problem, writes down several solutions from the results of previous research, and writes down the gaps or gaps in previous research or the strengths of previous research that can be followed for implementation in problem object to be solved. write down the specific research objectives at the end of the introduction, including the predetermined hypotheses. The introduction is limited to only 4-6 paragraphs. Each paragraph must contain more than 2 sentences. The introduction must not contain subheadings. The Introduction must contain 12 references at minimum. (Tahoma, Font 8).

METHODS (Tahoma 8, Bold)

The research methods need to describe the type of research, population, sampling method, research instrument, research time, research location, method of data analysis, and method of statistical analysis which are related to recruitment, explanation, follow-up, and data gathering if available. (Tahoma, Font 8).

RESULTS (Tahoma 8, Bold)

The research results describe the main findings of the study. The results are in accordance with the title and research objectives, the research results are presented in the form of tables or figures, accompanied by supporting narratives that provide references to the tables and figures. (Tahoma, Font 8). Tables and figures are included in the body of the manuscript, especially for histological, histopathological, and SEM images using arrows to indicate details of the results to be produced. Titles, tables and figures are numbered with Arabic numerals and written in Tahoma font 8, spaced 1. To improve the display quality of the manuscript, tables (Microsoft word or excel format) and pictures (JPEG format with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi) are to be attached in separate files.

DISCUSSION (Tahoma 8, Bold)

Describe the results obtained from the research. The author compiles, analyzes, evaluates and interprets and compares the latest findings with findings from existing research. Do not repeat sentences from the introduction, methods and results. Discussion refers to the results’ tables and figures. The number of discussion paragraphs preferably longer than the introduction. The authors should pay attention to the consistency of the article from the title to the discussion. The limitations of the research and suggestions for further research development are explained in this section. (Tahoma, Font 8)

CONCLUSION (Tahoma 8, Bold)

The conclusion contains the answers to the research problem formulation, not by including the statistical results, but in the form of a conclusion from the statistical results. Conclusions must be able to describe the results of the research which are described in the research objectives. (Tahoma, Font 8)

INTRODUCTION (Tahoma 8, Bold)

The introduction emphasizes the urgency of the problem to be solved, explains the problem in general and explains why it is so important to solve the problem, writes down several solutions from the results of previous research, and writes the state of the art in this case/handling of this case compared to other cases. The introduction is limited to only 4-6 paragraphs. CASE REPORT (Tahoma 8, Bold)

Describe the method used in the case report. Explaining the conditions before treatment including the patient's main complaints, subjective and objective examination results, results of supporting examinations, diagnosis, treatment plans, prognosis and success/failure of treatment. Treatment steps are systematically explained with supporting pictures. Statement of patient consent for treatment and for case publication.

Images are included in the body of the manuscript. Figure titles are numbered with Arabic numerals, written in Tahoma font 8, spaced 1 and saved in JPEG format with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi (dots per inch). Add image source, personal documentation for clinical photograph.(Tahoma, Font 8).

DISCUSSION (Tahoma 8, Bold)

The discussion of the case reports explains the interpretation of the case findings. Authors must be able to compile, analyze, evaluate and interpret and compare the findings of the latest cases with findings from existing research or case reports. It is not allowed to repeat sentences from either the introduction or the results. The discussion of the case report must contain the basis for decision making in treatment based on the literature (evidence based) and include the patient's opinion about the outcome of the treatment in 1 or 2 paragraphs.(Tahoma, Font 8)

CONCLUSION (Tahoma 8, Bold)

The conclusion contains the results of treatment as well as suggestions and recommendations to colleagues regarding the handling of reported cases. (Tahoma, Font 8)
